The first of my 5 legacies began with Johnny Lasgo. Johnny is a Popularity sim, he’s very outgoing, but also rather sloppy and grouchy. Here he is outside his new home.

It’s not much, but it’s the only home he has.

Apologies for the huge gap since the last update, folks. I know I said that my legacy family were starting to tire me out, but I didn’t actually intend to give up on them entirely. However, the lot started to become extremely buggy, to the point where it became completely unplayable, and I have given myself no way of restoring it, so I’ve had to give up on them entirely after 3-4 generations of sims, which is really quite irritating. And I really did like the way my twins were turning out.

Well, I’ve been getting a little tired with my Legacy Family right now, entirely my own fault for being crazy enough to go for the “Have 10 Children” want, but things are progressing a little slowly there, so, for when I am needing a break from them, I have set up a new neighbourhood, which will be running as some sort of experiment into various things.
For each Sim, I will roll a dice to pick one of their four Wants (5 or 6 will be re-rolled), then lock this want in. When this want is fulfilled, I will roll the dice again to pick another Want to lock in. And here comes the experimental part: I will only tell the sims to do things that will in some way directly help them fulfill their locked want. Everything else, they will be running completely on their own free will. (Although I may have to waive this rule a little for a few essentials such as paying bills and doing homework). Anyway, I’m hoping that this will be entertaining, and I’m sure it will be highly unpredictable.

So, this time, it really was Lucy’s last day of life, let’s see how it went.
In the morning when she woke, I seem to remember all of her wants had stayed the same, certainly she still wanted to be best friends with Rachel, since I’d locked that one in. I thought I’d have another long day of having those two interact to get those last two relationship points, but after just one friendly hug, Rachel’s score of 48 shot straight up to 63! I guess how quickly the lifetime relationship goes up depends on how much it has already changed that day.

since I’m back at school now, I don’t have as much time for my sims, so updates will be coming a little less often. I’ll try to avoid going more than two days without an update though.
